Aliza Kopans

Early Childhood Policy Pathways Fellow

Aliza Kopans is dedicated to bridging community needs with legislative action supporting children and families. As an inaugural Early Childhood Policy Pathways Fellow at East Boston Social Centers, she works to elevate East Bostonians’ voices and experiences in shaping equitable, systems-level change. Aliza's background in digital wellness advocacy, mentorship, and interreligious community-building inform her community-centered approach to early childhood policy.

Originally from Arlington, MA, Aliza graduated from Brown University in 2025 with degrees in Public Health and Intercultural Competence focused on Spanish. Aliza interned with the Every Child Shines team in 2023. She is thrilled to rejoin the Social Centers full-time and continue to work with the vibrant and caring East Boston community.

Aliza enjoys meeting new people, exploring farmers’ markets and bakeries, and spending time in the sunshine.
